2319 This is Diana mailing our post card at the Qing Dynasty mail box. Except for the dragon on the post and two Chinese characters on the box it could be any mailbox in England during that era.
2329 The apothecary shop’s inventory in drawers and jars.
2331 Some specialty items deserve a more prominent display. This is the ginseng and two snake elixir.
2352 A lady stops off for some take out. I don’t know exactly what meat is wrapped up in those two different leaf bundles (one is in the foreground and the larger one is next to it) but every butcher was selling them. At 3 yuan a bundle they’re certainly not expensive. That’s just a little over 50 cents.
2362 This is the Shanghai skyline from the deck of our ship. The weird tripod building with the balls attached is the local TV tower. It’s purported to be the third tallest, free standing tower in the world.
